Attention sewers: We'll show you how to quickly conjure up a small headphone bag made of muslin fabric. Without a fabric pattern and very simple. Also perfect for sewing beginners!

You need

  • Muslin fabric (amount depends on the size of your headphones)
  • Volume fleece (amount depends on the size of your headphones)
  • Push button
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • Pins/fabric clips

Step 1

Place your muslin fabric twice and cut out the fabric so that your headphone case fits twice on the fabric. Add another curve at the top for the tab (see picture). The seam allowance is 3cm.

Step 2

Place your fabric on the volume fleece and cut the whole thing out. Then put the two pieces of fabric and the volume fleece together. Important: The order is volume fleece, fabric with the right side up, fabric with the right side down. Now you can sew the three parts together with a straight stitch. You leave a small opening at the bottom to turn it over.

Step 3

After you have sewn the volume of fleece and the fabric part together, you can trim the corners and the seam allowance a little. Be careful not to cut too close to the seam. Now you can turn your headphone bag over. Pin the opening shut. Then close the opening by sewing along the entire lower length with a straight stitch. If you want, you can now sew a pattern into the fabric. We simply sewed two straight, parallel lines from top to bottom to give the bag some shape, but this is optional.

Step 4

Now take your headphones and see how high the bag has to be. Then pin the sides together and sew them closed again with a straight stitch. To achieve a nicer result, you can also sew along the upper curve again with a straight stitch.

Step 5

Now all we need is the snap to close the bag. Using a needle and thread, sew the button onto the inside of the flap and the bottom of the bag so that the bag can be closed. Sew the decorative button onto the top flap so that the snap is underneath. Your own muslin headphone bag is now ready!
